Where we deliver and what it costs
Free over $50 everywhere we go. Below that, the fee depends on how far the plant has to travel.
| Area | Fee under $50 | When it arrives |
|---|---|---|
| Centrum, Jordaan, De Pijp, Oud-West | $3 | Same evening, 5pm to 9pm |
| Other inner districts, Noord | $4 | Same evening or next morning |
| Outer districts | $5 | Next day |
| Neighbouring provinces | $8 | 1 to 2 working days |
| Everywhere else | Quoted per order | 2 to 4 working days |
Large plants over one metre travel by van rather than cargo bike. The fee is the same, but the time window is wider because the van runs a fixed route.
Cut-off times
You can also pick a specific date up to two weeks out at checkout. The plant waits at the warehouse and is watered on the normal schedule, so it arrives in the same condition it would have on day one.
How a plant is packed
The root ball is wrapped so the soil cannot shift, the leaves are sleeved in paper rather than plastic, and the pot is boxed separately from the plant when both are in the order. Nothing is sealed airtight; plants suffocate in sealed boxes.
Every plant is photographed after wrapping and before the box closes. That photograph is what settles a damage claim, which is why we almost never argue about one.
On the day
The driver calls about fifteen minutes ahead. You get a message with their name and plate number when the bike leaves the warehouse.
If you are not home
Tell the driver when they call and they hold it for one more attempt the next morning at no cost. Plants spend the night in shade at the warehouse, not in the delivery box.
Leaving it with someone
Reception desks, neighbours and building security are all fine — write it in the delivery note and the driver photographs the handover. Risk passes to you once it is left where you asked.
Checking before the driver leaves
Open the box while they are still there if you want to. If anything looks wrong, hand it straight back and the order returns to the warehouse with nothing charged.
Changing a delivery
Address, date and items can all be changed free of charge until the order is marked packed, from your account or by messaging the shop. After packing, a redirect within the city costs $3. Outside the city the order comes back to the warehouse first.
Follow any order with its number on the tracking page, no account needed.
Picking it up yourself
Free, and ready about two hours after you order. The shop is on Orchard Lane in the Jordaan, open 8am to 8pm on weekdays and Saturday, 9am to 6pm on Sunday.
Motorbike parking is out front and there is a car park eighty metres up the street. Bring the order number, no printout needed.
If something arrives damaged
Tell us within 48 hours with photographs. Because every plant is photographed before wrapping, we can see whether a break happened here or on the road, and neither is your problem. Replacements go out on the next delivery run. Full detail is on the returns and warranty page.
