Care

Water when the top layer is dry about two knuckles deep, usually every three weeks. This plant dies from waterlogging far more often than from thirst, so a missed week is fine.

Place it 1 to 3 metres from a window. It tolerates dim corners, but the golden edge fades if the light stays low for too long.

Delivery and returns

Inner Saigon: same-day delivery on orders placed before 3pm, $3, free over $50. Everywhere else: two to four days, each plant crated on its own.

A plant that wilts or dies in the first 30 days is replaced and you keep the pot. Send us photographs and we arrange the rest.

Sansevieria takes a fortnight of neglect without complaint, which is why it is the one we hand to people who have killed something before. Water when the top half of the mix is dry and keep it out of a cold draught. It grows slowly, and that is the point.

Arrived in better shape than the photograph. The pot is heavier than it looks, which I like.

  2. Maggie L. (verified owner)

Third plant I have owned and the first one still alive after a year. It genuinely wants to be left alone.
